Thank you for informing me James. I have updated the post. I haven't spoken to eMusic about this as of yet so before I can confirm all I can do is post both sides of the arguement.

We normally do as much research as possible before we post to make sure we have all the facts. On this occassion I didn't confirm the story as Mike Masnick is usually a reliable source. I have contacted eMusic myself to get the full story, I will update the post when I hear back from them. Until I do I advise readers to contact eMusic themselves.

I'm an eMu customer and called customer service to ask about this. Users will still be able re-download the tracks, but only a limited number of times. iTunes only lets you re-download a limited number of times as well. So, before we report on a report of a report of something being taken away maybe someone should do a bit of research and ask.
